Person dies outside Paul Goldsmith's Auckland office
Person dies outside Paul Goldsmith's Auckland office A person has died outside of the offices for National Party MPs, including Paul Goldsmith. In a statement, police said they were called to Epsom in Auckland at 7.50am on Friday after reports of a person being found unresponsive and later pronounced dead. The death is not believed to be suspicious. Signage outside the building shows it as the office National MPs Paul Goldsmith, Nancy Lu and Melissa Lee, alongside other businesses. The Post reports the person is believed to be a rough sleeper. In a statement to RNZ, Goldsmith said the situation would "naturally" be "extremely upsetting" for anyone involved. "It would be inappropriate to politicise it, or to comment further. "Our thoughts are with the family of the deceased," he said.
